The temperatures and air quality shown below are readings off of my IoT sensor units that I built and programmed. The only difference between the East and West temperature readings is that they are on the east and west sides of my house. The East sensor is located about 6" above a concrete patio that is always in the shade. However, the concrete is close enough to the sensor that it can dampen large temperature swings. The West sensor is on a pole 6' off of the ground. The afternoon sun hits it in the summer, so I generally take the lowest temperature of the two. The air quality sensor is mounted outside 15' off of the ground. It commonly spikes in the evening due to a nearby restaurant with grill smoke that blows my way.
